Yiwu Huang, MD, PhD
Yiwu Huang, MD (Fujian Medical University), PhD (Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences), Residency (Staten Island University Hospital), Hem/Onc fellowship (Robert Wood Johnson Medical School), attending hematologist and oncologist at the Maimonides Medical Center. Selected honor and leadership roles: program director of Hematology-oncology Fellowship program and medical director of Asian Community Outreach in Maimonides Medical Center. Area of focus: general hematology and oncology.
Jiping Wang, MD, PhD
Dr. Wang is a surgical oncologist in the Division of Surgical Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Gastrointestinal Cancer Treatment Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His clinical interest is gastrointestinal cancer surgery. Dr. Wang’s academic education includes medical education at Henan Medical University, and PhD in Biostatistics from University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Wang has been involved in cancer research for more than ten years. He has more than five years experience in designing, conducting and reporting phase III clinical trials at National Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP). His research regarding prognostic factor and cancer staging received three awards from American Society of Clinical Oncology foundation and one grant support from American Medical Association.
He currently serves as Associate Director of the Hepatobiliary Cancer in the Division of Surgical Oncology of Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Wang also teaches clinical trial courses extensively both in China and at Longwood area. In addition, he has been sitting in the advisory committee for the Ministry of Chinese Science and Technology in the establishment of National Clinical Trial Center. He designed a phase III clinical trial in evaluating the efficacy of heated intraperitneum chemotherapy in treating T3 or T4 gastric cancer after radical gastrectomy with D2 lymph nodes dissection. He is a lifetime member and a strong advocate of CAHON.
