CAHON NYOF Junior Investigator Award (JIA)
CAHON gives Junior Investigator Awards to encourage young students to participate in research. CAHON provides Junior Investigator (JIA) travel awards to exceptional high school, college and medical students to attend CAHON’s annual meeting New York Oncology Forum (NYOF) each year.
Application Process for Junior Investigator Awards
Eligibility Criteria
- Outstanding high school, college, or medical student in North America with a keen interest in Asian culture.
- Demonstrated interests in biomedical career.
- Availability to attending CAHON's New York Oncology Forum and the CAHON members-only dinner and reception meeting (held annually in October).
Award
Certificate of Award and $500 for each awardee
Nomination Type: Self-nomination
Applications Requirements
- Application form
- Academic transcript from last semester
- One-page personal statement describing career and educational goals
- One letter of recommendation from school counselor, teacher, or research mentor
