NYOF Travel Awards
CAHON NYOF Junior Investigator Awards (JIAs)
The Junior Investigator Awards (JIAs) encourage talented students with an interest in oncology research and the Asian American community to pursue scientific inquiry and academic excellence. Each year, CAHON provides travel awards to outstanding high school, college, and medical students to attend the New York Oncology Forum (NYOF), where they can engage with leading physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
Application Process for Junior Investigator Awards
Eligibility Criteria
- Outstanding high school, college, or medical student in North America with a keen interest in Asian culture.
- Demonstrated interests in biomedical career.
- Availability to attending CAHON's New York Oncology Forum and the CAHON members-only dinner and reception meeting (held annually in October).
Award
Certificate of Award and $500 for each awardee

Applications Requirements
- Application form
- Academic transcript from last semester
- One-page personal statement describing career and educational goals
- One letter of recommendation from school counselor, teacher, or research mentor
