CAHON NYOF Young Investigator Travel Awards (YITAs)
The Young Investigator Travel Awards (YITAs) are designed to support the professional development and scholarly achievements of CAHON's early-career and physician-in-training members. Each year, CAHON provides travel awards to eligible members to attend the New York Oncology Forum (NYOF) and participate in educational, networking, and research opportunities.
Application Process for NYOF Young Investigator Travel Awards
Eligibility Criteria
- Current CAHON members including Associate Members (Resident and Fellows), OR Regular Members within 3 years of training at the level of instructor or assistant professor. (Membership applications available at https://www.cahon.org/membership)
- Availability to attending CAHON's New York Oncology Forum and the CAHON members-only dinner and reception meeting (held annually in October).
Award
Travel reimbursement for lodging, airfare and ground transportation. Awardees who do not require travel reimbursement may be offered a $500 cash award.
- Lodging – Up to two nights at the conference hotel or equivalent. Room and tax at single room conference rate
- Airfare – Coach/economy only. Booked at least 14 days in advance. Up to $1,000 round trip for domestic.
- Ground transportation – Necessary travel to and from the meeting site only

- CV, including education and current training level or position
- Short bio including personal statement describing career goals (3 sentences long)
