CAHON 2026 Fall Symposium Young Investigator Awards

Recognizing outstanding research abstracts accepted for presentation at the 2026 Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Annual Meeting.

The CAHON Young Investigator Awards (YIAs) recognize and support outstanding early-career physicians, researchers, and physician trainees who are advancing the fields of hematology and oncology through scientific discovery, clinical innovation, and academic excellence.

As part of its mission to promote professional development and foster future leaders, CAHON presents Young Investigator Awards in conjunction with selected national and international scientific meetings and CAHON educational programs. The award highlights the achievements of emerging investigators whose research contributes to improved patient care and advances in cancer research.

Eligibility

Applicant criteria:

1. Available to current CAHON members or non-members referred by a current CAHON member.
2. Recognized as the first or senior author in the abstract or presentation presented at the annual SITC Meeting.
3. Availability to attend CAHON Fall Symposium held in conjunction with SITC on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Award

Award recipients will receive:

• A CAHON Young Investigator Award Certificate
• A $500 cash award

Nomination type: Self-nomination

Required Application Materials

• Completed YIA Application Form
• Copy of the accepted abstract (including presentation category) 
• Current CV, including education and current training level or position
