13th Annual New York Oncology Forum
The CAHON annual New York Oncology Forum (NYOF) is an educational event that includes presentations on new developments and updates from the latest ASH, ASCO and SITC meetings including novel agents for Hematology and Oncology. 2026 will mark the 13th anniversary for this annual event which draws more than 100 clinicians, researchers, medical students, clinical fellows as well as laboratory and health care related scientists working in the hematology and oncology.

Young Investigator Travel Awards (YITA)
To foster growth and achievement amongst CAHON’s early career or physician-in-training members. CAHON provides Young Investigator travel awards to members to attend CAHON’s annual meeting New York Oncology Forum (NYOF) each year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Current CAHON members including Associate Members (Resident and Fellows), OR Regular Members within 3 years of training at the level of instructor or assistant professor. (Membership applications available at https://www.cahon.org/membership)
- Availability to attending CAHON's New York Oncology Forum and the CAHON members-only dinner and reception meeting (held annually in October).
Award
Travel reimbursement for lodging, airfare and ground transportation. Awardees who do not require travel reimbursement may be offered a $500 cash award.
- Lodging – Up to two nights at the conference hotel or equivalent. Room and tax at single room conference rate
- Airfare – Coach/economy only. Booked at least 14 days in advance. Up to $1,000 round trip for domestic.
- Ground transportation – Necessary travel to and from the meeting site only

- Short bio including personal statement describing career goals (3 sentences long)
Junior Investigator Awards (JIA)
To encourage young students to participate in research. CAHON provides Junior Investigator (JIA) travel awards to exceptional high school, college and medical students to attend CAHON’s annual meeting New York Oncology Forum (NYOF) each year.
Eligibility Criteria
- Outstanding high school, college, or medical student in North America with a keen interest in Asian culture.
- Demonstrated interests in biomedical career.
- Availability to attending CAHON's New York Oncology Forum and the CAHON members-only dinner and reception meeting (held annually in October).
Award
Certificate of Award and $500 for each awardee
