     Mary Li, MD, PhD (Chair)

Mary M. Li, MD, PhD, board-certified in internal medicine, and medical oncology. She received medical degree in Tianjin medical university and PhD degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from University of Louisville. She completed Internal Medicine residency at University of Louisville and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Brown Cancer Center in University of Louisville. Dr. Li  joined New Hope Cancer Center after graduating from fellowship and later merged with Florida Cancer Specialist in 2012. She has been in private practice as an Oncologist and Hematologist in Spring Hill, Florida since 2002.  In her spare time, Dr. Li enjoys boating, diving, flying, skiing, traveling, sewing and cooking.

 

 

 

     Yucai Wang, MD, PhD (Co-Chair)

Dr. Yucai Wang is a lymphoma and CLL specialist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He received his MD from Medical School of Nanjing University and PhD from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at Rutgers and hematology/oncology fellowship at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Wang has been a CAHON member since 2013 and is a 3-time winner of the CAHON young investigator award.

 

 

 

     Haixia Qin, MD, PhD

Dr. Haixia Qin is a breast and lung cancer specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. She received her MD from Xi’an Jiaotong University and PhD from Medical College of Georgia. She completed her internal medicine residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. She worked as a hospitalist at Loma Linda University Medical Center and Mayo Clinic, prior to her medical oncology fellowship training at University of Minnesota. She enjoys exercising, reading, and cooking.

 

 

 

 

    Wenqing Zhang, MD, PhD

Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist Wenqing Zhang, MD, PhD specializes in the treatment of all cancer types and blood disorders, with a specialized focus on breast cancer, lung cancer and lymphoma.
After receiving his medical degree from Xinxiang Medical College in China, he went on to earn both a master’s and a doctorate in Medical Science from Beijing Medical University. He completed Internal Medicine residency training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Louisville James Graham Brown Cancer Center in Louisville, KY.
Dr. Zhang joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2022.  Previously, he provided medical oncology care in academic and private practice settings and, most recently, served as Director of the Breast Cancer Program at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Pennsylvania.
In addition to treating oncology patients for many years, Dr. Zhang is actively involved in cancer research, serving as an investigator and sub-investigator for clinical trial studies. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals including the Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology, Chinese Journal of Hematology, RNA and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine International.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, outdoor activities and martial arts.
